Scope

  • Market: Spain
  • Compliance: GDPR
  • Functionality: Full management of one-off and long-term services
  • Integrations: Electronic billing and payments

The context

55+ connects people over 55 with paid work opportunities. Through the platform, they offer services such as home repairs, cleaning, pet sitting, companionship, and culinary experiences.

The project originated in Portugal, and upon arriving in Spain, the team needed a platform adapted to the new market and its regulatory requirements.

The challenge

The original version was developed using traditional code. Although it worked, making changes was slow and expensive. Since the organization did not have an in-house technical team, every adjustment depended on the availability of a vendor.

For the expansion into Spain, it wasn't just about building a new version. It was also necessary for the team to be able to manage and update it with greater autonomy after launch.

The solution

ARCUS developed the Spanish platform in Bubble, with automations in Make. The choice of NoCode addressed a specific need: to facilitate product evolution without maintaining a permanent dependency on technical specialists.

The platform manages the entire hiring process, from initial interest to service confirmation. It handles both one-off jobs and long-term relationships, integrates electronic billing and payments, and operates in multiple languages.

GDPR compliance

One of the core aspects of the project was the handling of personal and financial data. The 55+ and ARCUS teams worked together to review the data architecture and platform workflows to ensure they met General Data Protection Regulation requirements.

Regulatory compliance was addressed from the product design stage and remained a part of technical decision-making throughout development.

The result

The platform is live at 55mas.es and offers active services in Barcelona and Madrid. The team now has a solution tailored to their operations in Spain and greater ease in managing future changes.

Is your platform up and running, but every change depends on a vendor? Let's talk about how to give your team more autonomy.
